Home » TCPO2 – Measurement of Oxygen Level at Wound Site

Transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcPO2) measurement is a non-invasive tool used for assessing tissue oxygenation, near the wound, by measuring the local pressure of oxygen released from capillaries through the skin, which helps to predict wound healing and to decide management plan.

A normal TcPO2 measurement is considered to be around 60 mmHg or higher, regardless of the electrode location.

Values below 40 mmHg may indicate impaired wound healing.
